Namaste Parents,

In the beginning of the class we reviewed the asanas that we learnt last classes and it was amazing to see most of the kids remembered the poses.

Warm-ups:  We practiced gentle stretching and strengthening exercises to warm up our legs, arms and spine.

Asanas: After warm-up practice, we practiced the asanas listed below. Kids learn best when they are having fun, so we interweave stories and poses in the class.  Kids absolutely LOVED this.

Children were taught how to get in and out of each asana carefully and the benefits of the poses.  

Tadasana - Mountain Pose

Vrikshasana - Tree Pose

Garudasana - Eagle Pose

Natarajasana - Dancer’s Pose

Utkatasana - Chair Pose

Baddha Konasana - Butterfly Pose

Padmasana – Lotus Pose – It is an advanced pose and some kids were not comfortable to do this pose, so we asked those kids to do Sukhasana, cross-legged, seated position. Also, we practiced “Pranayama” in this pose.

Savasana- Corpse Pose
